For a couple who had to plan their Trim Castle wedding from thousands of miles away in Perth, Lisa and Chris did an epic job! It was a day of beautiful detail and pure happiness: gorgeous orange and pink bouquets against the classic navy bridal party; an elegant cake Chris’s sister Amanda made for them; and that awesome vintage Renault wedding car. I loved the little surprises all day! When I saw the beautiful lace train on the wedding dress Lisa brought back from Australia I think I gasped. Definitely worth the travel hassle, Lisa was a classic beauty of a bride!
This was one of those days that proves you should never let a little rain on your wedding day get to you. In Irish summer style Lisa and Chris got a trip through all the seasons on their day. We had glorious sunshine streaming through the house for bridal preparation and a gauntlet of rain and hail for guests to run through to get to the church. There was a quick break in the rain for family photos after the ceremony and then it was back to Chris’s road for a special photo shoot. Chris had told me when we met about the overgrown trees on his road forming tunnels he liked and I loved the idea! We got there in the rain but having to use an umbrella only added to the old school romance! Thanks for the excellent location scouting Chris, have you thought about a career in wedding photography?!
By the time we got to Trim Castle summer was back so we still got plenty of bright summer wedding photos before it was time for Lisa and Chris to party with the friends and family who were clearly overjoyed to have them home. The celebrations in Trim Castle Hotel were so warm and full of love and laughter that by the time we left Kevin and I felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends.
Congratulations Lisa and Chris! Hope you enjoy this little recap of a wonderful day xx
