June 14th was a sunny Saturday in picturesque Devon. An ideal day for a romantic country wedding in the woods (and not a bad day to be a wedding photographer either!) It was a pleasure to be a part of Jenny and Rory's beautiful intimate wedding day.
Jenny's hometown, Totnes, is a charming little town, surrounded by rolling green hills and beautiful views along the River Dart. A perfect place for a summer wedding and Jenny & Rory had chosen the perfect outdoor location for their guests to enjoy the beauty of Totnes.
A classic beauty, Jenny did her make-up herself and looked flawless and natural on her wedding day. Her gorgeous plaited up-do complemented by simple white flowers was the perfect hairstyle for her stunning tea length dress. The bridesmaids wore silver flip flops with their elegant navy dresses for that laid back Totnes vibe.
A simple civil ceremony in the morning with just immediate families present brought a tear to more than one eye and the beautiful gardens of Follaton House were a dream location for family photoshoots afterwards. In the afternoon, the countryside along the river provided a serene setting for a personal and intimate ceremony filled with love and laughter.
For the reception the Dart Totnes Rowing Club transformed into an elegant country fete wedding complete with lots of creative personal touches - rows and rows of bunting that Jenny and her mum had hand sewn and Rory had hung, tiny origami swans that their friends had made to complement Jenny's creative DIY centrepieces and stunning silk wall panels brought back from the couple's adventures in Cambodia.
