I’m often asked if I can recommend a great wedding videographer. Over the years I’ve been lucky to work with so many talented filmmakers across Ireland and I’ve learned that the right person can make a huge difference to how your day feels.

Photography captures the stillness of a moment. Videography brings it to life again. The laughter during speeches, the sound of your vows, the movement, and the energy. When photography and film work together beautifully, something special happens.

These are five filmmakers I’ve had the pleasure to work with and who I know will treat your day with the same care and respect that I do.

1. Edithouse – Joyful Storytelling from Wicklow

Emma Walkin is the creative heart behind Edithouse. She’s one of Ireland’s most respected and experienced wedding filmmakers and has been named Irish Wedding Videographer of the Year by the IPPVA. Based in Wicklow and trained in film school in New York, Emma brings a mix of artistry and professionalism that couples adore.

Her films are full of colour and light and always feel alive. She manages to capture the mood and rhythm of a wedding exactly as it was. Her “Short Story” edits, which are two to three minute highlights, are perfect for couples who want something fun and shareable that still feels cinematic.

Emma has an incredible ability to make people feel comfortable. She’s calm, friendly, and always present but never intrusive. Her work combines polish and real emotion and she’s one of the most discreet filmmakers I’ve met.

2. Little Bear Films – Cinematic and Heartfelt

Kevin from Little Bear Films started in digital marketing before discovering his love for filmmaking. What began with a friend’s wedding video has grown into one of the most trusted names in Irish wedding videography. Based in Dublin, he now travels all over Ireland and abroad capturing weddings that feel elegant and timeless.

His films are both cinematic and natural. He weaves movement, music, and emotion together so that every story feels personal and full of meaning. He’s also wonderfully easy to be around and knows how to let moments unfold without interruption.

Kevin offers everything from short highlight trailers to full-length feature films, often including drone footage and creative edits. His work is detailed, expressive, and deeply human.

3. Eye Capture Weddings – Real, Fun, and Full of Energy

Andrew from Eye Capture Weddings brings a wonderful sense of fun to everything he films. He has a background in video and film, so the technical side comes naturally, but it’s his ability to capture joy that makes his work stand out.

His wedding films are bright, relaxed, and full of movement. They show real people being themselves and that makes them endlessly watchable. Andrew has an instinct for timing and emotion, and his upbeat approach helps everyone feel at ease in front of the camera.

He manages to be everywhere without ever feeling intrusive and his films are as entertaining as they are emotional.

4. Keith Malone Films – Elegant and Unobtrusive

Keith Malone is one of Ireland’s most experienced wedding videographers. With almost two decades of experience, he has mastered the art of recording a wedding day quietly and beautifully.

His “fly on the wall” style means he captures real moments as they happen. Guests often say they hardly noticed him during the day and yet his films show everything that mattered. He works especially well with photographers who share a documentary approach because he understands how to move gently around a space without interrupting what’s unfolding.

Keith’s work feels luxurious but never staged. He offers both a full-length film that tells the story of the day and a shorter highlight version. Every piece he creates feels timeless and full of heart.

5. Non-Fiction Love – Creative, Honest, and Unique

Aoife and Emily are the duo behind Non-Fiction Love. They describe themselves as “not your traditional wedding videographers” and that’s exactly what makes them so special. Their films feel like art but they are grounded in truth and emotion.

They focus on simplicity, authenticity, and storytelling. Every frame feels considered but never forced. They have a gift for building trust so couples feel completely relaxed in front of the camera.

We trusted Aoife and Emily to film our Doc Day event and they created something extraordinary. They’re kind, calm, and professional and their films always feel fresh and beautifully human.

Finding the Right Videographer for You

Each of these filmmakers brings something different:

Working Together

Your videographer and photographer will spend almost the entire day with you, so it’s important they work well together. I’ve worked alongside all of these filmmakers and each one brings respect, warmth, and professionalism to every wedding. When we move in sync, it allows your day to unfold naturally without distraction.

Final Thoughts

A wedding film lets you relive your day in a way that feels real. You’ll hear voices, see movement, and remember how it felt. Take time to explore each filmmaker’s work and find someone whose style connects with you.

Ireland is full of amazing talent and these are five of my favourites. Whoever you choose, your story will be in wonderful hands.
